2022 Spring Softball Assessments
Below are the dates and times for spring assessments. Everyone in 8U-14U will assess. Players returning to their teams that do not assess will count as a first round draft pick for their team. Free agents that do not assess will enter a blind draft that will be conducted after the assessment-based draft. Assessments are what we use to keep teams balanced, so it's imperative that we assess as many players as possible.
Note: if you cannot make the day/time scheduled for your division, you can attend during a different division's assessment. Just let us know. We will send out an email to registered participants to which you can respond.
Experienced pitchers (10U - 14U) will be expected to remain after assessments to be evaluated as a pitcher, as we try to ensure that pitching talent is evenly distributed. By experienced, we mean girls that have a moderate amount of game experience and/or lessons. If you are new and would like to try pitching, you can make that request to your coach once you are on a team.
Lastly, special requests in 8U-12U are not guaranteed. They will be noted during the draft and we will try to accommodate as many as possible, but our primary focus will be on balancing rosters.
- 8U: Saturday, January 29, 10:00 am
- 10U: Saturday, January 29, 12:45 pm
- 12U/14U: Sunday, January 30, 1:00 pm
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to warm up. Information on where to report, warm up, etc. will be sent out closer to assessments.

2022 Spring Softball Divisions
Below are the softball divisions for the Spring of 2022 and the birth years for each division.
5U - Tee Ball: 2017, 2016
This division is geared toward beginners as an introduction to the game. It will predominantly be made up of girls born in 2017 and will focus on the basics.
6U - Beginning Coach Pitch: 2016, 2015
In this division, we introduce coach pitching, still utilizing the tee after three swing-and-misses. We also introduce other aspects of the game, such as leaving the base when out, taking a second base on outfield hits, etc.
8U - Coach Pitch: 2014, 2013
In 8U, we begin to keep score and outs and bump up to an 11" softball. These games are played quickly and offer an exciting brand of softball.
10U - Modified Kid Pitch: 2012, 2011
We introduce kid pitchers in 10U, utilizing coach pitchers after three balls are thrown. The difficulty ticks up a notch with kid pitching and stealing.
12U - Kid Pitch: 2010, 2009
Welcome to real softball. A 12" ball is used and the youth modifications are removed from the rules.
14U - Kid Pitch: 2008, 2007
Same as 12U, except the pitchers move back a little more (43’). Depending on number of teams, we may partner with Frisco for games.
2021 Fall Softball Tournament
Tournament brackets for 8U-12U can be found here: 2021 Fall Softball Tournament Brackets
The brackets will be updated as tournament seeds are established. Games will also be added to the league schedule once both teams for a particular game are established.
