6U - Beginning Coach Pitch: May 2020 - April 2021
In this division, we introduce coach pitching, still utilizing the tee after three swing-and-misses. We also introduce other aspects of the game, such as leaving the base when out, taking a second base on outfield hits, etc.
7U - Coach Pitch: May 2019 - April 2020
In 7U, we begin to keep score and outs. These games are played quickly and offer an exciting brand of baseball. Bases are at 60'.
8U - Coach Pitch: May 2018 - May 2019
In 8U, we continue coach pitch in a bit more fast paced and exciting game. This is the last level before kids start to pitch.
9U - Kid Pitch: May 2017 - April 2018
We introduce kid pitchers in 9U, without dropped 3rd strikes, tight bases, and scoring must be done via hit/walk/or an error. You cannot score on a passed ball or errant throw back to the pitcher. The difficulty ticks up a notch with kid pitching and stealing. 46' mound distance and 65 foot bases.

Note: If possible, the end of season tournament for 8U-12U will begin earlier. It could also finish later. We ask that you be extremely flexible near the end of the season as we work to get the season wrapped up before Prosper ISD is out of school for Thanksgiving. The 15U end of season tournament will begin when the season ends and will be a coordinated effort between the three organizations.
Note: Practice and Game Slots for the Fall 2026 are still being finalized.
Practice day and times are selected by coaches, but generally, our 6U division will practice at 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm at a backstop around town. 8U will practice at 5:00 pm or 6:20 pm, 10U at 6:20 pm or 7:40 pm, and 12U/15U at 7:40 pm. The majority of 8U+ practices will be on Field 8.
For games, 6U will play mostly on Saturdays, with one or two weeknight games (day of week will vary). 8U-12U will play a mix of weeknights and Saturdays. Weeknight games will be Monday for 12U and Tuesday/Thursday for 8U and 10U. 15U primarily plays on Monday nights, but will also play some games on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Makeup games could be any day of the week for any division.
Players are responsible for providing their own equipment, as follows:
If interested in purchasing balls to practice with at home, 6U use the 10" ball, 8U and 10U use the 11" ball, and 12U and up use the 12" ball.
Please review the PBSA Softball Rules to better understand the rules for the division in which your daughter plays. There are numerous age-based modifications to typical softball rules, particularly in our 8U and 10U divisions. When everyone has a proper understanding of the rules, it results in less friction during games.
